This webinar held on June 25, 2021. Ning Kaijun, Deputy General Manager and Director of Intellectual Property Office of KINGFA and Intellectual Property Team attended the meeting. 

At the meeting, the European Patent Office introduced the European patent system and its development trend.  EPO is focused on making patent validation in Europe faster, easier, safer, and less costly.  For example, EPO uses Asian patent documents and Euro-PCT patent applications to speed up validation.

The European Patent Office gave detailed answers to the patent questions proposed by KINGFA based on the actual cases. The two sides had in-depth discussions on the requirements and methods of patent applying for products with limited parameters, the patent-validated standards for regulated products, and the application and identification of supplementary evidence in a patent objection.

To provide better global services and improve the quality of European patents, the European Patent Office has started to communicate with representative companies in Asia since 2020. KINGFA has become the first company in Asia to communicate with the EPO in the field of chemistry.

KINGFA has so far applied 50 European patents, 22 of which are licensed in Europe. Till Jan 1, 2021, KINGFA had accumulatively 3763 domestic and foreign patents. Including 2775 invention patents, 533 utility models, 11 designs, 275 PCT, and 169 foreign patents, won 3 Second Prize of National Science and Technology Progress Award, 15 China Patent Excellence Award, 15 First Prize of Provincial Science and Technology Progress Award.

At the end of 2021, KINGFA will become the single large plant of nitrile gloves with an annual capacity of 40 billion pieces of nitrile gloves.
